BeiGene offers two medical plans to all U.S. employees and a third for employees in California. Since the plans work quite differently, there’s a fit for everyone’s needs. All three plans include prescription drug coverage.
- The Aetna HDHP has the lowest premium and the highest deductible. It comes with a health savings account to help cover your health expenses now and in the future. The best part? It comes with free money from BeiGene.
- The Aetna PPO has the highest premium and a lower deductible than the HDHP plan. This plan doesn’t come with a health savings account.
- The Kaiser HMO is only for employees in California. This plan takes an under-one-roof approach to your health care. The Kaiser HMO has the lowest deductible of all the plans but higher premiums than the Aetna HDHP.

Dental Plans
A smile goes a long way! BeiGene offers two dental plans to keep your teeth in tip-top shape. Both plans cover cleanings and exams at 100% and fillings at 90%.
- Base Plan: $1,750 annual maximum benefit; no orthodontia
- Buy-Up Plan: $2,750 annual maximum benefit; orthodontia for adults and children covered at 50% up to $2,500 lifetime maximum per person
Vision Plans
- Base Plan: $130 allowance for frames/contacts and basic lenses coverage for one eyewear per calendar year.
- Buy-Up Plan: $180 allowance for frames/contacts and enhanced lenses coverage for two eyewear per calendar year.

All U.S. employees receive:
- At least 20 days of paid vacation per year, up to a maximum of 30 days accrued
- Up to nine sick days accrued
- 12 scheduled holidays and one floating holiday
Employee Assistance Program
The EAP offers free, 24/7 support to help you address mental health, stress, depression, substance abuse, financial concerns, family challenges, well-being, and legal matters. You get three counseling sessions per issue, per year through your EAP. Referrals are available to mental health providers near you.

You can set aside up to 10% of each paycheck to purchase American depositary shares of BeiGene stock (maximums apply).
Health Savings Account
If you decide to enroll in the Aetna HDHP, BeiGene gives you free money. Seriously.
Here’s how it works. BeiGene chips in to help you save – or to pay your deductible. You may also set aside pretax money from your paycheck for eligible health care expenses you may incur later on. The IRS sets a maximum for how much you and BeiGene can contribute to your HSA each year (don’t blame us!).
The cherry on top? An HSA comes with a triple tax advantage. You aren’t taxed on the money put in nor on the funds you use toward eligible health expenses. And any investment gains? You guessed it. No taxes.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
BeiGene has three FSA options:
- Health care FSA: Contribute up to $3,200 in 2024 on a pretax basis to use for eligible medical, dental, and vision expenses. This isn’t available if you enroll in the Aetna HDHP.
- Limited purpose FSA: Contribute up to $3,200 in 2024 on a pretax basis to use for eligible dental and vision expenses. This is only available if you enroll in the Aetna HDHP.
- Dependent (day) care FSA: Contribute up to $5,000 in 2024 on a pretax basis to use for eligible child and elder care expenses. This is available no matter which medical plan you pick.
